Day 4

The day began in Pueblo around 0730 with a temp around 43, then fluctuated throughout the day seeing a high of around 88 degrees.  So we were stripping the cold weather gear as we moved along.  We were able to take advantage of a wonderful scenic route through the mountains before we got back to route 50.  We stopped at Monarch Pass where we played "GS" (that's an off road bike for those who don't know) on the dirt road to the summit.   We didn't know it was dirt until we crested the first rise which means it was an unintended event.  I don't U-turn nicely on narrow dirt roads so I took it to the top - where I had room to turn around.  We both recovered nicely, without so much as a scratch.  From there we moved back to route 50 and on to I-70 and more 75 (maybe more - a little more) Mph stuff.  70 took us into Utah and through some amazing landscapes along the entire route.  The roads were, for the most part, wonderful all the way.

I did have a milestone - 30K in Gunnison.

So 513 miles later we're here in Salina, Utah prepping for the ride to Reno.  We may spend 2 nights there and take a ride around Lake Tahoe or something.
